HOT SAUCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?

Artificial intelligence, or AI, is a term that's thrown around everywhere in our society, no matter the field or industry. What is it about AI that the whole world is so impressed with? Well, let's answer that together by starting an experiment making something as simple, yet elegant as hot sauce using the help of Artificial Intelligence. ​

THE PROCESS

We make a round of hot sauces, you buy and rate 'em. We put all the ratings into a dataset that is analyzed by Artificial Intelligence. Specifically, we use Bayesian Optimization to figure out exactly what ingredients are providing the highest ratings and in what quantities. The results the AI gives us are then used to make another round of hot sauces which we predict will be tastier and more favorably rated by our customers/participants. This process then gets repeated until we make the perfect hot sauce as decided by Artificial Intelligence.
